EXCERPTED FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES: The flu going around this year is bad. Really bad. One of the worst flu epidemics we’ve experience in quite a long time. According to a recent NY Times article it’s actually worse than the Swine Flu pandemic of 2009 and steadily getting worse. More and more people are getting sick across the nation and the death toll continues to rise. As the NY Times article states:
Nationally, the number of people who are falling ill with flu is still increasing. More worrying, the hospitalization rate — a predictor of the death rate — has just jumped, and is now on track to equal or surpass that of the 2014-2015 flu season.
