Irwin Stromeyer, Owner, Sterile Space Infection Defense, LLC, was a featured guest on “Podcast Business News Network”, where he discussed the importance of germ eradication from a public infection preventionist’s point of view. One of the areas he focused on was the importance of this service before new parents bring their babies home from the hospital.
Stromeyer is an industry leader in the public infection prevention arena. During a wide-ranging conversation with Host Jill Nicholini, Stromeyer described the steps and procedures Sterile Space Infection Defense, LLC takes to ensure proper germ eradication and infection prevention of bacteria and viruses. “We do a very in-depth, deep contamination. We use very good disinfectant-based detergent chemicals to clean all the surfaces.” He continued, “Then, everything is terminally disinfected with a hydrogen peroxide vapor disinfectant. It breaks down into oxygen and water, so there is no harmful residue left behind. We then apply the antimicrobial coating with an electrostatic sprayer so it is drawn to all of the surfaces by an electromagnetic field. The material bonds to those surfaces with a covalent bond.”
Furthermore, Stromeyer explained how long the microbial coating lasts on the surfaces. “You cannot wash the antimicrobial coating off. It only comes off after long-term friction and abrasion. We warranty the effectiveness of our service to last for 12 months.”
